About us, From the Founder

Why StudentTrading Exists

My name is Myles West, and I’m a student at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. I’ve been fascinated by markets and trading for as long as I can remember, even when most people my age had no idea what a stock was. For a long time, I thought that made me unusual, until I realized the real issue wasn’t a lack of interest. It was a lack of access.

Most students simply didn’t have a clear, approachable way to learn about trading. The resources that did exist were filled with complex terminology, scattered information, and steep learning curves. Those who were curious often felt overwhelmed before they even began. That realization is what inspired me to create StudentTrading.

StudentTrading exists to make the world of sales and trading accessible, understandable, and empowering for every student. By breaking down complex concepts into clear, practical insights, we help emerging learners build a strong foundation in commercial‑level stock trading. Our mission is to offer a safe, reliable, and easy‑to‑navigate platform that builds confidence, curiosity, and real‑world readiness

We envision a world where students everywhere can explore trading without barriers — where financial knowledge is democratized, early education is strengthened, and the next generation of traders can grow from informed beginners into capable professionals. StudentTrading strives to become the leading global platform for students seeking clarity, guidance, and opportunity in the trading industry.
